Broward Health’s Information Technology department is ranked among some of the most prestigious healthcare systems in the nation for enabling paperless clinical tools for caregivers, according to the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).

 

Broward Health is one of four hospitals in Florida to achieve a Stage 6 level ranking from the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM), an 8-step process that compares healthcare organizations across the country. The hospital system achieved the level 6 ranking after completing the launch of a system-wide computerized physician order entry system and a picture archival communication system.
