South Florida native Lisa Berger, RN, is a dedicated member of the Broward Health Imperial Point medical/surgical department. Berger was inspired to further her career while working in an OB/GYN office, where she quickly recognized the diverse roles nurses play, from educating patients to providing leadership to community outreach.

After 13 years and raising six children, Berger earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Antigua College International. Today, she provides direct nursing care, including assessments, treatments and medication administration, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.

Berger also educates patients and families on wound care, disease prevention and staying healthy. She is certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support and has earned two Daisy Awards for excellence in nursing.

“Being a nurse is not just a career, it’s who I am,” Berger said. “I love bedside care and making a difference in my patients’ lives.”
