Imperial Point Medical Center’s Clinical Nurse Specialist, Catherine Branton, RN, MSN, ARNP, has been named as a finalist in the 2011 Nursing Excellence Awards for Nursing Spectrum/Nurses Week & Nurse.com. The award recognizes the extraordinary contributions nurses make to their patients and their peers.

 

Branton has been an ardent supporter and fundraiser for multiple charitable organizations, including United Way and the American Diabetes Association and participates in a number of professional groups including AACN, CMSRN and WOCN. Most recently, she was an enthusiastic participant in the Leadership Training Program for NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders), allowing Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Center to be awarded the important NICHE site designation.
