In December 2017, Broward Health North (BHN) underwent a rigorous on-site review by Joint Commission surveyors. These experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards for BHN’s Alzheimer’s program, Primary Stroke Center and Inpatient Rehabilitation Stroke-Specific programs. After a one-week survey, no deficiencies were found in any of the programs. Broward Health North was awarded with The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers, as well as for the Alzheimer’s and Inpatient Rehabilitation Stroke programs. “Broward Health North is pleased to receive Disease-Specific Care Certification form The Joint Commission, the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation,” added Alice Taylor Chief Executive Officer at Broward Health North. “These certifications provide BHN with the framework to create a culture of excellence for those in our community.”
