The contest is made possible through a partnership with Broward County, Broward County Public Schools BECON-TV and Driver’s Education Program, Broward Health, Broward Regional EMS Council, Memorial Healthcare System and Sunrise Fire Rescue. The contest encourages teens to create messages for safe driving by submitting an original 30- or 60-second Public Service Announcement.  The contest runs January 11 through March 4, 2016

“As the lead organization for ‘Take 5 to Stay Alive,’ we realize competition is a great venue for educating young drivers. We further believe that the students’ participation in the production of this PSA will heighten the awareness of the dangers of texting and driving” said Dr. Igor Nichiporenko, Trauma Medical Director for Broward Health North.
