February 22, 2024 – Broward Health North held a special plaque dedication for Broward Sheriff’s Office Battalion Chief Terryson Jackson who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash.

Emergency room doctors, nurses, and caregivers, along with BSO staff and Jackson’s beloved family, gathered for the unveiling of the new plaque that is now displayed in the emergency department near the EMS patient transport entrance of Broward Health North.

Jackson frequently airlifted trauma patients to the Level II trauma hospital.

The plaque serves as a lasting reminder of Chief Jackson’s dedicated service. Jackson died last year when a BSO helicopter crashed into a Pompano Beach apartment building. He was 50-years-old.
