Broward Health North is pleased to announce Michael A. Cornehls has been named the hospital’s new chief financial officer (CFO).

Cornehls most recently served as CFO at Reston Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, in Fairfax County, VA. His previous experience also includes serving as assistant chief finance officer at HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Palm Beach County and HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, FL.

Cornehls earned a master’s degree in health education & behavior from the University of Florida in Gainesville and an MBA in complex health systems from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He holds bachelor’s degrees in human biology and in business administration from the University of Wisconsin in Green Bay and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
