Broward Health has been awarded the Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) Healthcare Supply Chain Award for achieving excellence in overall spend management and adopting best practice solutions into its supply chain processes.

This is the second time that Broward Health has received this distinction, reflecting the healthcare system’s dedication to improving quality of care and reducing costs.

ECRI looked for initiatives that included ongoing and consistent spend management and analytics for all medical devices, including capital medical, supplies, PPI, service contracts, reagents, and others. This included a complete study and analysis of purchase order histories on a routine basis. The Broward Health Supply Chain team, led by Procurement Officer & Corporate Director Brian Bravo, was recognized for exhibiting a clinically sound and financially savvy approach to technology decision making.
