Bruens has more than 20 years of experience and comes to Lee Health from St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, Colo. where he served as Vice President of Operations. Previous to that post, he served as director of the Penrose Cancer Center and led the Penrose-St. Francis Behavioral Health Program in Colorado Springs.

 

Bruens earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO and a Master of Public Administration degree in health care policy from the University of Colorado at Denver.
