Patients at the Jerome Golden Center for Behavioral Health in West Palm Beach recently began receiving primary care services on-site from medical personnel with the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics. The Brumback Clinics, owned and operated by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, serve adults and children at clinics in West Palm Beach, Belle Glade, Lantana and Delray Beach, Florida. Now, an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, Certified Medical Assistant and Registration Clerk with the Brumback Clinics serve Golden Center patients Monday through Friday.
“Partnering with the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics and having these services available to our patients five days a week is an important step toward achieving more effective health care interventions,” said Dr. Linda DePiano, Golden Center’s Chief Executive Officer. “Research shows that people with serious mental illnesses die, on average, 25 years earlier than the general population. This type of care integration allows for clinical providers to treat all of these conditions at the same time, resulting in decreased mortality and morbidity.”
The Brumback Clinics serve patients regardless of their ability to pay or whether or not they have insurance.
