Jonathan P. Nieves, M.D., is a cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders using cardiac ablation procedures and implantable devices who recently joined the Broward Health Physician Group.

He has dedicated his career to empowering patients to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. What began with an innate curiosity about the human body and a profound desire to make a meaningful difference evolved into a deep commitment to providing compassionate care and advancing medical knowledge.

Dr. Nieves is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology. He received his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic, where he graduated cum laude. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. He then completed a general cardiology fellowship with the University of Miami consortium at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida, and finally a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
