December 27, 2021 – David Snipelisky, MD, has been appointed as a cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Weston Hospital.

Dr. Snipelisky is board-certified in advanced heart failure and transplantation, cardiovascular medicine, internal medicine, and echocardiography. He specializes in cardiovascular diseases, advance heart failure and transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.

Blandon, MD, MBA, President of Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Weston Hospital. “Our goal is to continue providing access to exceptional physicians and services. Dr. Snipelisky will help us achieve that objective in cardiovascular medicine.”

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic in Florida, Dr. Snipelisky was Clinical Faculty Director of Cardiomyopathy at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga. Additionally, he was part of the clinical teaching faculty at the Graduate School of Medical Education at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

Dr. Snipelisky earned his medical degree at Florida State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Mayo Clinic, and an advanced fellowship in heart failure and transplantation from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Snipelisky is an active member of the American College of Cardiology. He has authored over 21 abstract publications and 51 peer-reviewed articles on cardiovascular topics. He has been a leader in several national clinical trials.
