Pablo Rengifo- Moreno, M.D., serves as the director of the structural heart disease and mechanical circulatory support programs at Broward Health.

“I was drawn to cardiology because it sits at the intersection of physiology, technology and immediate patient impact,” Dr. Rengifo-Moreno said. “Early in my training, I was fascinated by how structural and coronary heart disease could be treated with increasingly less invasive approaches.”

He performs complex interventional procedures, overseeing quality improvement in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, and directing mechanical circulatory support, in addition to teaching, mentoring trainees and leading clinical research initiatives.

“I’m motivated by taking care of complex patients who often have limited options and helping them regain quality of life,” Dr. Rengifo-Moreno said.

He earned his medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular medicine fellowship and advanced subspecialty fellowships in interventional and structural heart disease at University of Miami.
