Dr. Melissa Levack is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with advanced training in complex adult cardiac surgery on staff at Delray Medical Center. Dr. Levack has been practicing medicine for nearly 10 years. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery (2015) and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (2018). Dr. Levack performs a full spectrum of high-acuity procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement, ascending aorta and aortic root surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral and tricuspid valve repair or replacement, arrhythmia surgery (MAZE and convergent procedures), and management of aortic dissections.
Dr. Levack earned her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, as a Presidential Scholar from Dartmouth College, followed by her Doctor of Medicine Emory University School of Medicine. Her postgraduate training includes rigorous surgical residencies at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic, where she served as Chief Cardiac Surgery Resident. She also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, reflecting her strong foundation in both clinical excellence and cardiovascular research.
