Dr. Vivek Patel is a fellowship trained, cardiothoracic surgeon at Jupiter Medical Center’s Robson Heart and Vascular Institute. With a focus on advanced techniques and minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Patel was among the first in South Florida to perform robotic-assisted MIDCAB (Minimally Invasive Direct Coronary Artery Bypass) surgery for the treatment of coronary artery disease. He also specializes in Barostim™ Baroreflex Activation Therapy, which uses neuromodulation to alleviate the symptoms of systolic heart failure.

He completed his cardiothoracic surgery training at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester, and furthered his expertise with a fellowship in aortic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Patel serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UT Health East Texas. He is dedicated to ensuring his patients’ well-being and enhancing their quality of life through innovative surgical care.
