Dr. Todd Roth estimates that Memorial’s congenital heart disease program cares for as many as 4,000 of the approximately 12,000 adults born with the disease and more than 10,000 infants, children and adolescents receiving treatment for congenital heart issues in South Florida.
“We’re providing the most comprehensive, programmatic care for this unique population, whether for a fetus, adult or anyone in between,” said Dr. Roth, chief of both adult congenital heart disease and ambulatory pediatric heart disease. “Our specialists have the training to provide the highest level of care for the most acute cases and are supported with resources that improve the quality and length of life for patients.”
Dr. Roth joined Memorial Healthcare System in 2012 and has been a large part of its success in cardiology. It features the only accredited adult congenital heart program in South Florida and the largest pediatric cardiology network in Florida.
