Roger Carrillo, M.D., is a cardiothoracic surgeon with Palmetto General Hospital. He specializes in laser extraction of pacemaker and defibrillator complications, minimally invasive cardiac surgery and atrial fibrillation treatments. Dr. Carrillo is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Carrillo completed a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery from the Hospital Broussias, University of Paris, in Paris, France. Throughout his medical career, Dr. Carrillo has presented his research and findings relating to cardiothoracic medicine at national and international talks and has published numerous papers on cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Carrillo has been practicing medicine since 1980. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.

 

 

Dr. Jose Pinero is an experienced cardiologist and has provided expert heart care to patients for over 40 years. Dr. Pinero specializes in congestive heart failure, echocardiography, preventative cardiology and stress testing. He is on staff at Palmetto General Hospital. He studied at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is a member of the Tenet Florida Heart and Vascular Network and he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
