A free day of education and support for cancer caregivers is being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28 at the Vincent A. Stabile Research Building at Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Dr. The program includes sessions and accommodations for Spanish-speaking attendees. “Caring for the Caregiver,” open to anyone caring for a cancer patient, will be presented by Moffitt staff, including clinical social workers, nurse practitioners and registered dietitians. The program is designed to provide caregivers with ways to cope with the stressors of caring for a cancer patient while taking care of themselves. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences during the program and learn from one another. Reservations are needed by April 23 by calling 1-888-MOFFITT (1-888-663-3488). Call (813) 745-8407 for information about the conference and breakout sessions.
