June 8, 2023 – The Caron Florida Mental Health Program is proud to welcome Anna Green as its newly appointed Lead Mental Health Clinician. Green joins the team with seven years of experience as a psychotherapist in the education, addiction, palliative care and mental health fields. She is originally from the United Kingdom where she worked in an adult mental health inpatient hospital with patients diagnosed with psychotic disorders or borderline personality disorder.

“One in five Florida adults experience mental illness each year resulting in comorbidities like substance use disorder,” said Dr. Phoenix Adams, Executive Vice President of Caron Florida Programming. “The need is so great for grade mental health experts and we couldn’t be more pleased in hiring Anna. We’re extremely confident in her ability to bring reliable techniques and quality care to struggling patients.”

Green received her Master of Arts in Art Therapy from the University of Hertfordshire and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University. She is a qualified Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) practitioner trained at the Anna Freud National Center for Children and Families. Additionally, she wrote a chapter, for Arts Therapies and Sexual Offending, a book published in the United Kingdom in 2021.
