Robert Gintel has been appointed to the Mariners Hospital Board of Directors. He is also a member and vice chair of the Mariners Hospital Foundation Board and member and treasurer of the Board of Directors of Baptist Health South Florida Foundation.

Gintel formerly headed up an investment firm, Gintel and Company, and held a seat on the New York Stock Exchange. He retired five years ago and now devotes a major portion of his time and energy to philanthropic work. He was named 2008 Philanthropist of the Year for Baptist Health South Florida.




Bethesda Healthcare System is pleased to announce Alan MacGill, D.P.M., AO Fellow, as the new panel physician of the Bethesda Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program.

Dr. MacGill currently practices at Certified Foot and Ankle Specialists located in Boca Raton. Dr. MacGill is the Research Director of Bethesda’s new Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program, scheduled to accept its first residents in July 2010.




Bethesda Healthcare System is pleased to announce Ronald S. Runevitch as the new Senior Financial Analyst.

Runevitch has over 16 years of experience in financial and data management. Prior to joining Bethesda’s team, Runevitch served as the Senior Financial Analyst for BayCare Health System in Clearwater, FL where he managed the integration of information of all BayCare facilities and served as the financial representative to create the new BayCare Alliant Hospital. Runevitch also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst and Database Administrator for Summa Health System in Akron, OH.




Delray Medical Center has announced that Carlos O. Guerra, M.D., and Robyn M. Moncrief, M.D., FACS, have joined the hospital’s medical staff.

Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Guerra earned his Doctor of Medicine from San Marcos University Medical School in Lima, Peru.

Dr. Moncrief will work in the hospital’s Brest Surgery department and is also with the Surgical Associates of Palm Beach County. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, and earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas.
