The official ribbon cutting of the newest Benefactor Suite recently took place at Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Brenda Nestor Castellano, who underwrote the building of the state-of-the-art suite with a generous $100,000 donation, was honored at the event.

The Benefactor Suites is a project of the Jackson Memorial Foundation created to fund renovations in the West Wing building of Jackson Memorial Hospital in order to attract more private patients. Each one of the suites is designed to provide the comforts of home and the amenities of a luxury hotel, along with highly advanced technological capabilities of one of the nation’s best medical facilities and academic medical centers.

St. Mary’s Medical Center CEO Davide M. Carbone announced that W. Jeffrey (Jeff) Davis, D.O., F.A.C.E.P., has been named the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Dr. Davis is board certified in emergency medicine and utilization review and most recently served as Trauma Agency Director for the Palm Beach County Health Care District and Medical Director of EMS, Department of Public Safety in the Town of Palm Springs.




Randy Lee has been named chief operating officer (COO) at Baptist Hospital in Kendall.

Lee joined Baptist Hospital in 1989 as director of planning for Baptist Hospital, and later for Baptist Health South Florida. He was named vice president of Baptist Hospital in 1997.

He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stetson University in Deland, FL, and a master’s degree in health administration from Duke University in Durham, NC.
