Taweh Beysolow, M.D., brings his knowledge and medical expertise to Lower Keys Medical Center. For the past ten years, he has worked as both nephrologist (kidney doctor) and internist (adult primary care) at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. The doctor is not only board-certified in nephrology, he is also board-certified in internal medicine.

After graduating from Dartmouth Medical School, Dr. Beysolow completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, MA. Following the internship, he completed his residency in internal medicine at both the University of Massachusetts and Harlem Hospital Center in New York, NY. Dr. Beysolow then remained at Harlem Hospital for the next three years to pursue a fellowship in nephrology.



Columbia Hospital is to proud to announce the opening of their new Breast Care Center located on the campus of the hospital in the Columbia Medical Arts building.

The Center has been specially designed to provide a serene and tranquil environment for patients, staff, and physicians. The use of warm colors, textures, and sound have been chosen to soothe the mind and calm the body.

Mark Quenan has been given a role no other individual has played at Indian River Medical Center – that of full-time physician recruiter. Previously, the hospital had contracted with outside agencies to provide recruiting services, which was expensive and at times, unproductive.

Mark, who is a graduate of Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, is challenged with establishing the entire process and the protocols for the recruitment program. His past experience as Vice President of Recruitment for a nationally recognized, retained physician search firm, brings credibility to the process and will allow him to utilize the contacts he has made during his previous nine years of professional recruitment experience.



Broward Neurosurgeons, L.L.C. welcomes Arnold Lang, M.D., F.A.C.S., and Lloyd Maliner, M.D.

Dr. Arnold Lang received his Medical Degree from the Universite de Liege in Belgium. He completed his medical certification and then completed a general surgery internship and neurosurgical residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Dr. Lang is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Lloyd Maliner received his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida and completed a general surgery internship at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Maliner went on to complete his neurosurgical residency at the University of North Carolina and Pennsylvania State University. He is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.



Stephen J. Parsons, CFRE, has been named chief executive officer for Baptist Health South Florida Foundation.

A certified fundraising executive, Parsons joined the Baptist Health Foundation in 1997. He was named vice president and chief development officer for the Foundation in 2004, with responsibility for overall fundraising and major gifts, the Corporate Partners program and the Founders Society.

Before joining Baptist Health, he was chief development officer at the American Red Cross of Greater Miami and the Keys. Parsons also founded Performing Arts for Community & Education (P.A.C.E.), a non-profit performing arts organization, serving as executive director for 12 years. He is an accomplished musician, having performed as a percussionist with the Miami Philharmonic, the Greater Miami Opera Orchestra, Miami Ballet Orchestra and the Fort Lauderdale Symphony.
