West Boca Medical Center CEO Walt Mickens recently announced that the hospital has acquired the new da Vinci S Surgical Systema computer-enhanced system that puts a computer between the surgeons hands and the tips of electromechanically-enhanced, micro instruments.

Catholic Health Services proudly announced the promotion of Jaime Gonzalez to Hospital Administrator of St. Catherines Rehabilitation Hospital. Jaime Gonzalez has been with Catholic Health Services since 1998 in various capacities, including Community Liaison, Administrator in Training and was promoted to Hospital Administrator of St. Catherines Rehabilitation Hospital in February. Gonzalez enters this position with solid experience at St. Catherines Rehabilitation Hospital and an impressive medical background. He has a Medical Degree and a MBA in Healthcare Management.
Bonnie Hoot Dutton, B.S.N., has been promoted to Plantation General Hospital’s Director of Pediatric Services. Dutton is a South Florida native and has over 15 years of pediatric and pediatric intensive care nursing experience. She is a nursing graduate of Florida International University and is currently pursuing a dual Masters in Nursing and Education. Dutton previously worked at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood and during her employment there, she developed an accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center affiliated with Memorial Healthcare System. She is very involved with the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and annually coordinates an event to raise funds for this disease mainly focusing on children.
