Bethesda Healthcare System is pleased to announce that Barbara J. Dale has been named the new Executive Director of the Bethesda Heart Institute. Dale joins the Bethesda team with more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare leader, most recently as the Executive Director of the Cardiovascular Program at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL. During her time at Holy Cross, Dale was responsible for the leadership, development, and operational management of the Cardiac Service Line.
Steven P. Rosenberg, M.D., a Board Certified Dermatologist practicing in West Palm Beach since 1980, has been appointed to the Board of Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg said ” I am grateful that Governor Bush has appointed me to the Board of Medicine and I am honored to serve Floridians in this capacity.” Steven Rosenberg, M.D. is President of Palm Beach Dermatology, Inc. He obtained his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1975 and trained in Internal Medicine in Los Angeles at UCLA-Harbor General Hospital and at Montefiore Hospital in New York. He completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami and was Chief Resident in 1979. He has been Chief of Dermatology at St. Mary’s/ Good Samaritan Hospitals.
Organizers of the 10th Annual Community Fitness Run & Walk in Wellington are hailing the event as a success. A record number of participants, 782 people, either ran or walked the 5K distance through Wellington on Saturday, November 4, 2006. The event raised more than $67,000 to benefit Hospice of Palm Beach County, the nations leading provider of hospice care.

Hospice of Palm Beach Countys Board of Directors has elected Michael W. Connors, Esq. as Chairman of the Board. Connors, who practices law in North Palm Beach, has been a member of the Board of Directors of Hospice of Palm Beach County for 18 years.
Gerald B. Healy, M.D., FACS, an otolaryngologist from Boston, MA, was recently named President-Elect of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Dr. Healy is the Gerald B. Healy Chair in Otolaryngology and professor of otology and laryngology at Harvard Medical School, and the otolaryngologist-in-chief, at Childrens Hospital, in Boston.
