St. Mary’s Medical Center & Palm Beach Children’s Hospital hosted the first Immertec Medoptic technology virtual event for in service surgical training featuring Dr. John Asghar, orthopedic spine surgeon on staff at the Paley Orthopedic and Spine Institute. It is the only fully immersive 3-D, virtual technology surgical training platform, allowing surgeons to virtually scrub into a live procedure in a safe and socially distant way from their home or office through a VR headset.

The Palm Beach Health Network is the only hospital system in Palm Beach County with two comprehensive stroke centers, and both are designated with this certification.
Delray Medical Center is now offering some of the latest technology in PET/CT imaging for patients with the addition of the GE Discovery IQ PET/CT. It offers up to two times more improvement in both image quality and quantitation accuracy. PET/CT combines the power of positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) allowing for a more accurate diagnosis than each exam can provide on its own.
