Since January 2001 Florida Atlantic University, the Broward County Medical Association, the Palm Beach County Medical Society and Rachlin, Cohen & Holtz, LLP have sponsored and conducted the Certified Medical Business Manager (CMBM) Professional Certificate Program. The Program is designed to help participants develop the skills required to more effectively manage physician practices and other healthcare operations.
The program provides comprehensive education in every area of medical practice management including: medical terminology, billing and coding, insurance, financial development, organizational development productivity, computer applications, human resource management, compensation and administrative support. The CMBM program targets medical office managers, physicians seeking business management training, nurses seeking medical business training, hospital billing and coding personnel, hospital administrators, independent billing companies and transcriptionists. The program has graduated 120 individuals in the past 4 years and classes continue to grow. The Broward County Medical Association is pleased to have been part of this program. BCMA and PBCMS member practices receive a 25% discount on the enrollment fee. This program will help patients, physicians and their office staffs be happier with the whole clinical experience.
