Raul Rosenthal, M.D., has been appointed Chairman of the Department of General Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. An internationally-renowned bariatric surgeon, Dr. Rosenthal continues to serve as director of Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Bariatric and Metabolic Institute.

 

Dr. Rosenthal serves as Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program, which enrolls its inaugural class of general surgery residents in July 2012.

 

Dr. Rosenthal is an associate fellow with the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Executive Council of the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeons, and serves on the Board of Governors of the Society of Gastroenterological Endoscopic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Surgical Society of the Alimentary Tract and is Vice President of the Fellowship Council.
