Cleveland Clinic Florida has named its Palm Beach County facility at CityPlace the Tomsich Health and Medical Center of Palm Beach County, in recognition of the Tomsich family’s recent major gift to support the hospital expansion in Weston and longstanding commitment to the organization.
"For more than 20 years my family and I have been proud to support the dedicated caregivers at Cleveland Clinic in their efforts to provide world-class care while advancing medical innovation and education,” said Robert Tomsich. “Since they cared for my mother years ago, I know they have always focused on putting patients first. That’s why Suzanne and I are passionate about helping provide the tools they need to fulfill their mission here in Florida."
Native Clevelanders and Palm Beach residents, Robert and Suzanne Tomsich are longtime supporters of Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Florida through their philanthropic support and Mr. Tomsich’s more than 20 years serving on Cleveland Clinic’s Board of Trustees. A portion of the Tomsichs’ most recent contribution to Cleveland Clinic Florida includes a $2 million gift to create The Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Distinguished Chair in Healthcare Innovation. The endowed chair’s first chair holder is Dr. Barsoum and it will be used to enhance education programs, promote collaboration and further priority initiatives at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
