Steven D. Wexner, M.D., Ph.D. (Hon), FACS, FRCS (Eng) FRCS (Ed), Director of the Digestive Disease Center and Chairman of the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida, has been elected to a two-year term as President of the Research Foundation of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS).

 

Dr. Wexner is the Past President of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Past President of the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, Past President of the Florida Gastroenterologic Society, and the Past President of the South Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. In 2012 he was elected to the Board of Regents of the American College of Surgeons and is also a member of the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Wexner is also a Fellow of the most prestigious Surgical Society, The American Surgical Association.
