| Cleveland Clinic in Florida announces the addition of four physicians to its departments of Vascular Medicine, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine and Family Practice. The new physicians include vascular medicine specialist Mehrdad Farid, M.D., spine surgeon Daniel Shedid, M.D., internist Gabriel Gavrilescu, M.D., and Hermann J. Stubbe, M.D., a specialist in family medicine. |
 Most recently, Dr. Shedid served as an assistant professor in the Division of Neurosurgery at Notre-Dame Hospital in Montreal, Canada. He specializes in the treatment of complex spine disorders, adolescent and degenerative scoliosis, and minimally invasive surgery. |
 Dr. Stubbe specializes in memory loss, healthy aging and cardiovascular disease. Previously, he was a staff physician at the University of Puerto Rico Hospital. He also served as an assistant professor in the Department of Family Practice at the University of Puerto Rico. |
 Dr. Gavrilescu specializes in cancer screening, metabolic syndrome and successful aging. Most recently, he was with Community Health Improvement Center in Decatur, IL, in the Department of Adult Medicine. |
 Dr. Farid specializes in vascular diagnostic evaluations, peripheral artery occlusive disease, and reno-vascular hypertension. He comes to Cleveland Clinic from Kaiser Permanente in California, where he was on staff in the department of vascular medicine. |
