January 11, 2024- Palm Beach County, Fla.— Community Partners of South Florida (CPSFL), a trusted leader in comprehensive community development, has promoted Mira Zhivkova, SPHR, from human resources director to chief operating officer. In her new role, Zhivkova will advance the nonprofit organization by enhancing operational processes, policies, and practices. She will work in tandem with newly appointed CEO Kelly Powell to change the odds for children and families facing social, emotional, and financial adversity.

Zhivkova brings over a decade of experience in strategic leadership from for-profit and nonprofit organizations where she spearheaded operations, managed complex projects, and drove organizational growth. According to Powell, Zhivkova’s ability to transform business vision into performance-enhancing strategies, and her proven success in human resources, change management, process optimization, and fostering diversity and inclusion, made her the ideal candidate for the COO role.

“Mira has a distinctive talent for instilling a performance culture alongside a mission-oriented mindset,” Powell said. “She has a unique appreciation of the diverse strengths each team member brings, and the experience to cultivate a culture of collaboration internally among our employees, and externally with our communities where we are investing in people, places, and systems so neighborhoods and residents thrive.”

Zhivkova’s dedication to community impact extends to her volunteer service. She actively engages in mentorship programs and community initiatives that reflect her commitment to social responsibility beyond the workplace.

“Serving as CPSFL’s new COO is a tremendous opportunity to combine my personal and professional passions for developing people and communities,” Zhivkova said. “I am excited to join the senior leadership team and work with employees and partners as we advance solutions in behavioral health, housing, and community services across South Florida’s ever-evolving landscape.”

Zhivkova is a graduate of Palm Beach State College and Sofia University. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification, a valued credential that acknowledges a commitment to HR excellence, especially in strategic and leadership roles.

In her spare time, Zhivkova enjoys yoga for a healthy work-life balance and travel to experience new cultures and gain diverse perspectives to enhance her personal and professional growth.
