At the 27th Annual meeting of the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), Davie resident Glenn K. Moran, D.O. FACOFP was named Family Physician of the Year.

Dr. Moran, was recognized by his peers for his service to the medical profession on both the local and state level. Dr. Moran was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to serve on the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine from 1999 through 2006 and served as its 2003-04 Chairman. Currently, Dr. Moran is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation. He also serves as a clinical associate professor in the department of family practice at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM). Dr. Moran graduated from NSU-COM in 1988 and completed his family practice residency through NSU-COM in 1991.
