Delray Medical Center announces the opening of a new state-of-the-art Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab.

The new 1,000 square foot state of the art Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab features multiple lighting levels, a mapping system upgrade and an 80 inch monitor for better viewing.

Specifically, Delray Medical Center has acquired the Allura Xper FD10 X-ray system from Philips for its cardiac electrophysiology lab. This fully digital system enables physicians to capture and view detailed images of a patient’s coronary structure, thereby facilitating faster and more accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease, while providing minimal radiation exposure to their patients.

In addition, Delray Medical Center will be the only Electrophysiology Lab in Palm Beach County that will have the DoseAware system. This system gives real-time feedback of X-ray doses, so doctors and staff minimize the exposure of radiation.

Another added benefit is the digital Philips Flat Detector. This special screen helps to provide outstanding image quality, with less distortion than older imaging technologies. The Flat Detector helps to enhance diagnostic confidence and promotes better visualization during interventional procedures.
