July 17, 2024 – Delray Medical Center is excited to announce the opening of its new Kosher Hospitality Room, designed to support Jewish families visiting loved ones at the hospital by offering convenient access to kosher food and a peaceful space for spiritual reflection.
“We honor and respect the power of faith in the healing process,” said Delray Medical Center CEO Heather Havericak. “Our new Kosher Room is a dedicated space where Jewish families can find spiritual solace and peace while they’re here.”
Conveniently located on the main floor near the Legacy Lobby, chapel, gift shop, and Starbucks, the Kosher Room offers a variety of amenities, including:
Glatt Kosher and Cholov Yisroel Food: A selection of perishable and non-perishable items
Kitchen Facilities: Refrigerator, electric pot for hot water, coffee station, and cold drinks
Microwaves: Separate for dairy and meat
Comfortable Seating: A cozy environment for rest and reflection
Spiritual Resources: Prayer books, reading material, and hospital-safe Shabbat packages
