A highly trained neurology specialist in brain and spine surgery, Dr. Tomac was most recently staff neurosurgeon in Colorado at Centura Health St. Anthony, a Level I Trauma Center, and Centura Health Penrose Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center. He was previously with the Florida Spine Institute in Clearwater, Florida and the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa.

 

Dr. Tomac earned his Ph.D. from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden and his M.D. from University of Rochester in New York. He was a general surgery intern, a resident and chief resident in the Department of Neurosurgery and a Neurocritical Care Fellow in the Center for Neurocritical Care, all at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio. Dr. Tomac was a Complex Spine Fellow at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development in Bethesda, Maryland and at the National Institute on Drug Abuse in Baltimore.
