As an expert in head and neck surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and breast surgery, Dr. Arrangoiz is leading the charge when it comes to complex surgical oncology. As part of a larger strategic effort to expand the Comprehensive Cancer Center’s offerings, Dr. Arrangoiz is actively expanding the center’s head and neck service, and is an integral part of the team of physicians who are growing the center’s care team in anticipation of Mount Sinai’s new Braman Cancer Center—set to open in 2025.

In addition to teaching the next generation of surgical oncologists, Dr. Arrangoiz is a medical leader in treating malignant thyroid disease, benign thyroid diseases, and hyperparathyroidism, and is actively doing clinical research on the molecular workup of thyroid cancer.  He is also an expert in minimally-invasive, radio-guided, parathyroidectomy.

When he’s not treating patients, the former professional tennis player spends time with his three children, who are all competitive tennis players.
