Jack S. Cooper, M.D., has been elected president of the Doctors Hospital medical staff. A Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Cooper has been in private practice in Coral Gables since 1974 and has previously served three times as president of the Doctors medical staff.
Dr. Cooper earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed an internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital. For four years, he served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps. Then he did a residency in orthopedics and rehabilitation at the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he now serves as a volunteer clinical assistant professor.
