General and Bariatric surgeon, Anthony Gonzalez, M.D., has been elected chief of surgery at Baptist Hospital of Miami. He served as Vice Chief of Surgery at Baptist Hospital for 4 years. He is currently Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at South Miami. Dr. Gonzalez also Chairs the gastro-intestinal performance improvement collaborative at Baptist and is a member of multiple professional societies, including the American Society of Bariatric Surgery.
