September 1, 2023– HCA Florida JFK North Hospital, a comprehensive medical facility that has been serving the healthcare needs of West Palm Beach for close to 50 years, announced the addition of Dr. Diego Lima, a highly skilled and accomplished orthopedic surgeon with expertise in various subspecialties, including shoulder and elbow surgery, adult reconstruction surgery, sports medicine.
Dr. Lima obtained his medical degree from the renowned University of Health Sciences of Alagoas (UNCISAL) in Brazil. He went on to complete rigorous training in shoulder and elbow surgery, adult reconstruction surgery, sports medicine, and orthopedic oncology, developing a comprehensive understanding of complex orthopedic conditions and surgical techniques. He did his postgraduate training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Weston, FL.
Dr. Lima is a member of the esteemed American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), further highlighting his commitment to professional excellence and staying at the forefront of advancements in orthopedic surgery.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lima serves as an assistant professor at both the University of Central Florida and the University of Miami, actively involved in the orthopedic residency programs of both institutions. Through teaching and mentorship, he contributes to the education and training of future orthopedic surgeons, fostering the growth of the field.
Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, Dr. Lima is able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients, ensuring they receive personalized care and attention.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Lima enjoys engaging in sports and has a particular passion for soccer and car racing. He believes in leading an active and healthy lifestyle and encourages his patients to do the same for optimal well-being.
