North Shore Medical Center has expanded its medical services to include a weight loss surgery program. This new program, led by Jorge Sosa, M.D., F.A.C.S., offers patients a comprehensive approach to weight loss surgery.

 

Dr. Sosa is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Sosa is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and the American Board of Surgery in Added Qualities and in Surgical Critical Care.

 

Dr. Sosa graduated with top honors from the University of South Florida School of Medicine. He underwent fellowship training at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital in surgical critical care. Dr. Sosa currently holds an appointment as a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the Florida International School of Medicine.
