July 1, 2025 – Just in time for the 4th of July, the NICU at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Memorial Hospital Miramar brought the backyard BBQ indoors—with a tiny, adorable twist. Nurses and staff dressed their smallest patients as summertime favorites like hamburgers, french fries, ketchup & mustard, and watermelon, all “served” by pint-sized chefs. These lighthearted moments may seem small, but they mean the world to families who can’t be home for holidays and milestones. The festive photos offer a heartwarming reminder that even in the NICU, there’s room for a little fun—and a lot of love.
