August 5, 2019  – Chemo rooms are cold, cancer is scary, and hope is what everyone on that journey is yearning for. Dyer Subaru and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Palm Beach-Treasure Coast Chapter have once again joined together to provide that hope and a little bit of warmth.

 

On July 22nd, the duo surprised patients at Scully-Welsh Cancer Center in Vero Beach with blankets and messages of hope to support to those currently in the fight against cancer. For the fourth year, Subaru of America, Inc. and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) have joined together for this initiative to spread love, hope and warmth to cancer patients and their families in the Palm Beach-Treasure Coast area.

 

Dyer Subaru, part of the Dyer Auto Group, makes a Dyer Difference in their community by building strong and caring communities. They believe that a single act of kindness can not only touch the lives of so many within a community but can provide the hope and inspiration that can change and save lives.

 

The Subaru Loves to Care, health-focused initiative of the Subaru Love Promise philanthropic platform, has allowed LLS and Subaru to deliver blankets, messages of hope and arts and crafts kits to 45,000 patients in more than 473 hospitals through 502 Subaru retailers.

 

“With the goal of donating more simple comforts to more patients year after year, this program is about improving the health of our local communities,” said Ilena Luts of Dyer Subaru.  “We are proud to once again work alongside our valued partner, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to continue supporting patients and their families battling cancer. Our hope is that through this program, our gestures will comfort and warm those who need it most.”

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout an almost 70-year history, funding breakthrough research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures, and providing support and advocacy for patients.
