Elizabeth Schultz, M.D., has been promoted to associate medical director of VITAS’ Miami-Dade/Monroe program. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Schultz has 17 years of medical experience.
Dr. Schultz joined VITAS in 2011 as a home care physician. Prior to joining VITAS, Dr. Schultz served as assistant professor of medicine at the University of Miami Medical Center. She also served as medical director for Hospice and Palliative Care Services at the University of Miami Hospital and Sylvester Cancer Center. Before that, she worked at Evergreen Medical Center in Kirkland, Washington, where she held several positions including internal medicine hospitalist and associate medical director.
Dr. Schultz earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in Durham and a medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, II. She completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Loyola University Medical Center.
