As an Emergency Department nurse at Broward Health Coral Springs, Giselle Rodriguez thrives in the fast-paced environment of the unit.
Unsure at first which career path to take either physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse, Rodriguez shadowed each role before choosing nursing.
“I like the clinical aspect of nursing and being able to spend more time with patients,” Rodriguez said. “I love implementing critical thinking skills and being able to assist someone in their worst times.”
With more than two years of experience as a nurse, including one year in the Emergency Department, she finds motivation in the progress she’s made and the patients she serves.
“It’s the small ‘thank yous’ that keep me going and push me to keep doing my best,” Rodriguez said.
A Miami native, Rodriguez earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami.
