Rockkeisha Tomlin, RN, is a nurse and preceptor in the Emergency Department at Broward Health Coral Springs. She began her nursing career on the medical and telemetry unit, where she built a strong foundation in acute and complex patient care.
“I’ve always had a deep desire to help people in critical situations in a fast-paced environment, which drew me to the Emergency Department,” Tomlin said.
A native of Jamaica, she is motivated by knowing she can make a difference, whether it’s stabilizing someone after a serious accident or offering comfort during a health crisis.
“I oversee the flow of the unit, support the team in making critical decisions and ensure patient care is delivered safely,” Tomlin said. “As a preceptor, I mentor new nurses and help them build confidence, clinical skills and strong communication.”
Tomlin earned an associate degree in nursing from Concorde Career College and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Capella University.
