Louis Jane, M.D., a board-certified emergency medicine physician and Medical Director of the Memorial Healthcare System 24/7 Emergency Care Center, has spent the past decade in emergency medicine. First introduced to the field while working as a scribe, and later during a family crisis, he said both the clinical impact and reassurance ER physicians provide inspired his path.

Dr. Jane approaches patient care with a strong focus on listening and teamwork. “There’s no hierarchy, just different roles on the same team,” he said.

One memorable moment involved a young child struggling to breathe and frightened parents. Working together, the emergency team stabilized the child while providing comfort to the family.

“As a father and family man, I see patients not just as cases, but as people with loved ones beyond the ER,” Dr. Jane said.

In 2026, Dr. Jane will also lead two new freestanding emergency rooms within Memorial Healthcare System, located in Pembroke Pines and Miramar.
