November 29, 2023 – More than 1,000 attendees recently helped raise $1.3 million during the 19th Annual Diamond Angels Fairy Tale Ball at the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood. The event, whose proceeds support kids and families at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, was chaired by Heather Geronemus, the senior director of Social Equity, Opportunity and Impact at UKG.

Guests enjoyed a fairy tale-themed evening that featured the hospital’s beloved clown, Lotsy Dotsy, embracing the spirit of Finding Nemo, a craft cocktail reception, dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment provided by Hollywood U2, “the world’s greatest U2 tribute show.” Since its inception, the gala has now raised more than $9 million to support programs, services, equipment, and facilities at the Hollywood-based children’s hospital.

Organized by the Diamond Angels of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Fairy Tale Ball is the volunteer group’s largest fundraiser. Some of its proceeds underwrite the Diamond Angels Family Fund, which was created to provide emergency financial assistance to families of critically-ill children being treated at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The fund helps alleviate emotional and monetary burdens during difficult times, with these dollars often used to make mortgage payments, pay utilities, buy groceries, and cover bereavement expenses, among many other potential uses.ar Payments
