David Hurst, M.D., has joined the staff at Indian River Medical Center as a primary care physician.
Dr. Hurst earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Florida before completing his medical education at Cebu Doctors’ University in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. After a pediatrics clerkship at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, he completed clerkships in anesthesiology and infectious diseases along with an internal medicine internship at the Cleveland Clinic. He completed his residency in family practice at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Hurst is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Before joining the staff at Indian River Medical Center, he served patients at the Heart & Family Institute in Port St. Lucie.
