May 12, 2022–Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital proudly welcomes neurologists Anam Baig, DO; Samer Riaz, DO; and neurosurgeon Hoon Choi, MD, PhD.
Upon earning her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Anam Baig, DO, completed the neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic Weston and a fellowship in headache medicine at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. Baig specializes in headache disorders, migraine headaches and trigeminal neuralgia.
Upon earning his medical degree at the University of Auckland School of Medicine in New Zealand, Hoon Choi MD, PhD, completed the neurosurgery residency at State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and a pediatric neurosurgery residency at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. He went on to complete a spine surgery fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, followed by a PhD in biomedical engineering at Marquette University/Medical School of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. With his unique surgeon-engineer background, Dr. Choi specializes in minimally invasive robotic spine surgery, artificial disc replacement and functional/restorative spine surgery, and leads translational engineering research for personalized spine surgery.
Samer Riaz. DO, earned his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed the neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic Weston followed by two fellowships: one in epilepsy and one in clinical neurophysiology, EEG and epilepsy at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society and the American Osteopathic Association
