Fernando Petry, D.O., has been named vice president and chief medical officer at Martin Health System. Dr. Petry joined Martin Health in November 2014 as assistant vice president and physician advisor.
Dr. Petry comes to Martin Health from Gainesville, FL where he served as vice president and chief medical officer for Haven Hospice. Prior to that, Dr. Petry served as hospitalist regional medical director at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie and Lawnwood Regional Trauma and Heart Center in Fort Pierce.
A graduate of Nova-Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine, Petry completed his internship at Water Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, and his residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Georgia. He also attended the University of Miami, where he received a MBA in healthcare administration.
